Things are just so bad right now, with no end in sight.  My son's girlfriend had a miscarriage yesterday, as just an example.  All I want to do is eat. And eat. And eat.  It would appear, I am a stress eater.  The crunchier and the saltier the better.  I am back to my candy bars in the afternoon.  They don't make me feel better, but I just want them anyway.  However, I did get some pretzels, carrots and hummus to bring to work.  I just cannot focus on anything, to plan.  I am too worried and distracted.  At least work, as far as I know, is going well.  I am current on everything.

  1. Carla, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of the baby. My heart aches for your family. I was praying for you this morning before I read this. Just want you to know that I will keep praying for all of you. I am also an emotional eater, I know how difficult it is to control. I know that you will get the food under control when you can. You can only do your best.

  3. Oh Carla - I wish I could say some great words of wisdom, reach through the computer and give you a hug or go for a walk with you. You will be on my mind today for sure!! The good part was that you picked healthy items to munch on today. ((((((((((( C ))))))))))))))

  4. Oh carla, I'm really so sorry, what a difficult thing for you all to have to go through. i can't say anything that would really help but there is a community of bloggers with a shared history of miscarriage. They are based at the 'Lost and Found and Connections Abound or LFCA. Maybe a read there, for you or your son or his girlfriend.
http://lostandfoundandconnectionsabound.blogspot.com and look for the blogroll and section on miscarriage. As we know reading blogs of people who really do understand does help. Wishing peaceful thoughts on you all x

  5. I am very sorry to hear about the loss and the struggles you and your family are having right now.

I know the desire to turn to food. To find comfort in something that you know won't hurt you. Stay as strong as you can remembering where you were and where you are now.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
